Daniel Fowler has been awarded an overall grade of Distinction in his Trade Supplier Apprenticeship.
Daniel who works at our Chandlers Barnack depot has been working towards achieving his qualification for the past 18 months. The apprenticeship has consisted of a mixture of block release at Reaseheath College in Cheshire as well as workplace training gaining valuable hands-on experience of what to expect on a typical day within the parts department.
Daniel told us that “Whilst on my block releases at college I studied a variety of topics such as legislations covering ‘GDPR’ and ‘Sales of Goods Act’, undertaking engaging customer service scenarios as well as gaining technical knowledge of parts and features on modern machinery. These topics have enabled me to work more confidently within the workplace and offer a higher level of service. Throughout my apprenticeship I have received guidance and support from my excellent skills coach Paul from the college.”
Daniel said, “I have been with Chandlers for 3 and a half years initially working part time whilst doing my A Levels, when I completed my A Levels, I was offered the apprenticeship opportunity and accepted it over my university offers as I preferred the idea of ‘earning whilst learning’. I would recommend an apprenticeship to anyone as now I have completed the apprenticeship I am in a position where I have a secure job, a qualification and experience.”
He is now working full time within Barnack’s parts department supplying customers, dealing with enquiries, receiving stock and organising parts for workshop jobs.
Daniel now has an industry recognised qualification and a full-time position working for one of the largest Agco dealers in the country.
