JCB has struck gold with the top ‘Machine of the Year’ award for the all-new Fastrac 6000 Series from the organisers of the UK’s biggest agricultural machinery and technology show.
The new 284hp Fastrac 6260 and 335hp 6300 tractors beat all-comers to win the Gold Award, which will be presented during the LAMMA show on 14/15 January, 2026, at NEC Birmingham.
This show’s prestigious award for innovation comes hot on the heels of JCB’s ‘Tractor of the Year’ win at the Agritechnica event in Germany in mid-November and follows the Silver Award for innovation won by JCB at the 2025 LAMMA show for the TM280S telescopic wheeled loader.
The 284hp Fastrac 6260 and 335hp 6300 – recently crowned with a “Tractor of the Year” award – build on the success of the 178-235hp 4000 Series, providing farmers and contractors with a pair of more powerful machines for greater productivity using larger, higher-output implements.
JCB Agriculture Managing Director John Smith said: “The all-new 6000 Series stays true to JCB's innovative and ground-breaking concept that defines all Fastracs, resulting in an exceptional combination of productivity, efficiency, versatility and operator comfort.
“It also takes the JCB Fastrac into a new power and performance category, meeting the needs of farmers and contractors with outstanding features that create a highly-productive machine with unique capabilities in the field and on the road.”
Like their smaller siblings, the new 6260 and 6300 has features that no other mainstream tractors have, including multi-mode four-wheel steering for exceptional manoeuvrability; an advanced suspension system for both axles, not just at the front; large externally-mounted disc brakes with ABS for both hard and loose surfaces; and a faster top speed – 66kph for the 6000 Series – for quicker, time-saving journeys between farm yard and field.
The new series goes further by introducing additional performance-enhancing features, including a fully-integrated central tyre inflation system operated through the iCON touch-screen control centre in the cab.
This enables operators to set optimum pressures for fast road travel and lower pressures in the field for maximum traction and to minimise soil compaction; swapping between the two takes just a few minutes.
Then there is the unique installation of two satellite guidance signal receivers, a set-up that provides highly accurate low-speed guidance, increased accuracy over undulating terrain and quicker, more precise acquisition of pre-set waylines for efficient field work.
In addition to straight-line and curve guidance, the system provides a choice of automated headland turn pathways to increase ease of use through automation, and boost overall productivity, while the Twin Steer option individually controls the two steering axles for ultra-precise guidance.

The ‘Machine of the Year’ award judges said: “The JCB Fastrac 6000 Series is unique in its power class, featuring as it does adaptive suspension all round, resulting in greater stability on the road and outstanding ride comfort in the field, with multi-mode four-wheel steering – another feature no other tractor in this class can boast – adding to the tractor’s capabilities.
“As bigger, heavier and more powerful tractors are increasingly used by farmers and contractors for transporting heavy implements and agricultural inputs and produce, the new Fastrac sets the highest standards for braking performance with large air-operated external disc brakes and anti-skid ABS to prevent the wheels locking up under heavy braking in low grip situations.”
JCB’s newly-launched Fastrac 6000 Series stays true to the innovative and ground-breaking concept that defines all Fastracs but with new features and power outputs that take it into a different and highly-competitive class.
Suspension for both axles (when conventional tractors have a rigid rear axle) is a fundamental feature of all Fastrac tractors, giving them unmatched stability for fully-legal high-speed travel on the road – up to 66kph for the 6000 Series – plus a standard of operator comfort that makes a day spent in the seat more productive and less tiring.
Implement mountings at the rear, up front and behind the centrally-mounted cab add to its versatility, while the new central tyre inflation system of the 6000 Series, operated from the cab using the latest iCON configurable digital touch-screen display, enables the driver to switch between optimum pressures for road travel and field work in a matter of minutes.
