Congratulations to Jack Hobbs and Owen Bradley from Chandlers Horncastle and Chandlers Spilsby respectively on winning the Midlands Machinery Show Apprentice Award in recognition of the valuable contribution they’re making across the agricultural industry, awarded by the Newark Showground MMS Team.
Owen said: “I have a keen interest in agriculture and am now lucky enough to be in my second year studying for a level 3 land-based engineering course at Riseholme College alongside working at Chandlers Farm Equipment Spilsby. My apprenticeship has given me a huge amount of new skills and knowledge. Good quality tools are essential to me but they can be really expensive so I’m so grateful for this award to help me invest in some new, long lasting equipment.”
The award, funded by NNAS with support from Geoffrey Bond OBE DL, aims to support young people as they develop the skills they need to embark on successful agricultural careers.
